I was always fascinated by sharks and, at the same time, a bit scared because movies like Jaws traumatized me.
Still, when I first snorkeled with sharks in the Exumas (where the swimming pigs live), I didn’t feel scared. I felt calm.
And I always wanted to see a white shark, so when I got a business opportunity to fly to South Australia, I planned my whole stay around this experience.
If you don’t know, there are limited places on Earth where you can cage-dive with white sharks, and in South Australia, there’s one spot.
I had to take a flight from Adelaide to Port Lincoln and get on a boat where some people threw up—not nice to watch—to be able to see white sharks.
I chose a company that didn’t use bait so the sharks wouldn’t crash into the cage and hurt themselves.
It was the most amazing experience ever!

And the white sharks were nothing like what you see on TV. They were calm and curious, not aggressive.
Sure, I don’t want to meet them without a cage because that might freak me out.
So what does it have to do with business and your content?
It took me a lot of effort, planning, and time to get to this place. A 20-hour flight from Europe, another flight to Port Lincoln, and a boat ride through rocky waters to (maybe—it’s not guaranteed) see white sharks, which are rare.
I want you to experience the same with your content.
I don’t want you to chase your clients, but I want your clients to chase you, like I chased the white sharks to get a 1:1 experience.

Your content can do that for you.
But most business owners do the opposite. They chase their clients.
So what would you do if you saw a shark and it chased you?
Try to get the hell as far away as possible.
Cold-DMing people and doing cold outreach feel like being followed by a shark. That feels dangerous to your system and, in the real world, gross and icky.
But there is another way to turn it around.
When you create content that’s so specific about one problem (pain point) your ideal clients are facing, and you don’t give it to them in one piece but let them follow their path down a rabbit hole consuming your content, they learn to trust you and see that you can help them.
When you show them you’re the right person who knows what they’re talking about and can help them, they will chase you.
And the best part: you don’t have to create more content. You already have it.
That’s what I help you do with my Golden Thread audit.
I help you find what to focus on, how to go deeper into one problem your ideal clients are facing, and how to come up with fewer but more magnetic pieces of content.
This way, you don’t have to chase new clients. They find their way to you when they’re ready, and they trust you faster. No chasing, no sales calls involved.
If this sounds good, you can apply to work with me (limited spots available because I’m doing this myself), or check out my series on how you can stop chasing and attract your ideal clients without burning out.
Here’s the playlist I’m talking about (Stop Chasing Series):
