In the personal development and manifestation space, you often hear that if something is truly aligned, it will feel easy and effortless.
But that belief can be a trap.
Yes, things eventually become easier, but only after you’ve stretched beyond your comfort zone and grown into your next level.
Growth Doesn’t Feel Aligned at First
Think back to when you learned how to drive.
Now it might feel automatic, and you probably don’t even think about what you’re doing. Sometimes I even wonder how I got to my destination. 🙈😅
But learning to drive, especially with a manual car, was anything but easy. My hands were sweaty, my brain was working overtime, and I worried about making mistakes.
I lived this exact trap when it came to talking to the camera for my business videos.
I waited five years, telling myself it had to “feel aligned” first. Sweaty palms, racing heart, total avoidance. Until I finally pushed through the fear and hit record anyway.

That’s what growth feels like in business, too.
When you’re scaling to new levels, hiring help, raising your prices, launching a new offer, or showing up more boldly, it won’t feel aligned at first.
It will feel awkward, uncertain, and maybe even terrifying.
Why “Alignment” Can Be Misleading
I see this all the time with soul-led entrepreneurs: we hold back from action because we’re waiting for the right mix of alignment, clarity, and ease.
But growth requires discomfort.
Alignment isn’t something that magically happens before you act; it’s something you build as you take action and integrate the new version of yourself and your business.
Waiting until it “feels right” is exactly what keeps you playing small.
So, Ask Yourself
Are you stuck in the alignment trap?
Are you telling yourself you’ll take that bold next step, to start your podcast, launch your group program, create new offers, or outsource, once you feel ready?
Don’t wait until you’re aligned. The day may never come.
Step forward anyway. That’s where real alignment and confidence are born.
